ANOTHER RUMOR - BEWARE
Posted by WhoDaresWins on Tuesday, July 14, 2009 (23:53:05) (144 reads)
I received the following in an email. I cannot state for certain if it is true, however, I felt better safe than sorry either way. Info purposes only.
_________________________________________________________nq
"I had a doctors appointment at the local VA clinic yesterday and found
something very interesting I would like to pass along.. While going through
triage before seeing the doctor, I was asked at the end of the exam, three
questions.
(1. Did I feel stressed?)
(2. Did I feel threatened?)
(3. Did I feel like doing harm to someone?)
The nurse then informed me, if I had answered yes to any of the questions, I
would have lost my concealed carry permit as it would have gone into my
medical records and the VA would have reported it to Homeland Security.
I am a Viet Nam vet and 15 year cc permit holder. Looks like they are going
after us vets."
Be forewarned and be aware. The Obama administration has gone on record as
considering veterans and gun owners as potential terrorists. If you are a
veteran, you've been warned. If you know veterans, please pass this on to
them.

BAD ROE - SPINELESS OFFICERS - SELF SERVING JAG AND THE LIBERAL PRESS

...MAKES FOR A MESS LIKE THIS
From: http://www.bouhammer.com/2009/05/exclusive-cpt-roger-hill-in-his-own-words/
Read these articles first for some background:

*Bouhammer Note- The following post is an exclusive look into the other side of the story as told by CPT Roger Hill himself. I first wrote about CPT Hill’s story here, http://www.bouhammer.com/2008/12/2-us-soldiers-accused-of-abusing-detainees/ and have since talked about it on numerous other occasions both on this blog and on You Served Radio.
This posting is broken down into 3 parts. The first is an original posting from CPT Hill for the Bouhammer Blog. The second part is CPT Hill’s farewell letter to his company as he was never given the opportunity to say goodbye in person. The third part is CPT Hill’s letter to the Commander of Army Human Resources Command asking for his discharge to be changed so he could have some level of benefits once he is forcefully discharged from the US Army. All the parts and the links within them help paint the picture as to what really happened leading up to the 30 minutes that have forever changed CPT Hill and 1SG Scott’s life and the events that took place after. I have worked with Roger Hill to ensure these docs do not implicate anyone, contain any sensitive information, or that could harm anyone in the Area of Operation right now.
Note: ROE that is not realistic in the Afghan AO, Field Grade Officers who care more about the next promotion than their men, the liberal press that salivates every time they think they smell blood in the water and spineless politicians that tow the line for the liberal press so they can get elected again. All at the expense of good men. MUST READ. ~Patriot

THERMOBARIC WEAPONS IN SRI LANKA?
Posted by Patriot on Saturday, May 02, 2009 (02:56:21) (189 reads)
Both sides in a bloody conflict in Sri Lanka are alleging the use of a type of enhanced explosives, known as thermobaric weapons.
Government forces are well into the decisive final phase of operations against the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Elam (LTTE). Six thousand civilians have been killed in fighting over the last three months.
On Monday the LTTE,a Tamil group fighting for independence, announced a unilateral ceasefire, apparently to allow civilians to escape from the “no-fire zone,” a coastal strip of about four square miles.

BANGLEDESH ERUPTING INTO CIVIL WAR?
Posted by WhoDaresWins on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 (15:59:19) (258 reads)
Bangladesh border guards launched a dramatic armed mutiny on Wednesday, taking officers hostage and sparking a fierce gunbattle in the capital that left at least three dead and 21 people wounded.
Police and the regular army were called in to surround the headquarters of the Bangladesh Rifles (BDR), the South Asian nation's paramilitary border security force who reportedly took up arms against their superiors over low pay.
Following hours of gunfire and panic in the city, Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina met with renegade troops at her home and offered a general amnesty, her spokesman Nakibuddin Ahmed told reporters.

NEW YORK TIMES EARNINGS IN THE DITCH
Posted by Patriot on Wednesday, July 23, 2008 (20:38:00) (213 reads)
The New York Times (NYT: 13.20, +0.34, +2.64%) fell as low as $12.38 this morning after its second quarter earnings missed estimates. Profits plunged 82% to $21 mn versus the $118 mn posted in the same period a year ago, a period that was helped along by the one-time sale of an asset.
The share plunge is the lowest since July 1995. An historic come-down for the newspaper of record, given that in 2003, the stock traded at $45, notes Frazer Rice, a private banker in New York.
Print ads dollars at the Times continue to shrivel, sending operating income in a nosedive, as ad dollars continued their inexorable march toward the Internet. Hotels, automakers, airlines, all hurt by high energy prices, have pulled back sharply.
Note: Hmmm... could it be that the queen of the liberal press has lost her allure? You reap what you sow and those that can afford to advertise in the NYT might be offended by their liberal tax the rich bias. ~Patriot

INTERPOL WORLDWIDE ALERT
Posted by WhoDaresWins on Friday, February 29, 2008 (18:40:17) (161 reads)
An urgent worldwide security alert, or Orange Notice, has been issued by INTERPOL after the escape of an alleged leader of the Jemaah Islamiyah terrorist group from a jail in Singapore.
Mas Selamat bin Kastari escaped from the Whitley Road Detention Centre on Wednesday 27 February where he was being held following his deportation from Indonesia to Singapore in February 2006.
Following a request from Singapore, INTERPOL issued the Orange Notice - which includes Kastari’s photograph and fingerprints, essential elements to help law enforcement officers in their search and eventual verification of his identity when located and arrested – to each of its 186 National Central Bureaus (NCBs).

IMHO, NOT MUCH BEAUTY IN SHIA ISLAM
Posted by WhoDaresWins on Sunday, January 20, 2008 (18:39:51) (193 reads)

Shiite men cut their scalps with machetes as they take part in the Ashura religious ritual in front of Imam Ali's shrine in the holy city of Najaf in central Iraq. Millions of Shiites across Iraq on Saturday joined ceremonies marking the climax of annual Ashura rituals, marred by attacks that killed 21 people and a bloody uprising by doomsday cultists.

TEMPLAR LORE
Posted by neverquit on Friday, October 12, 2007 (20:16:44) (219 reads)
ROME - The Vatican has published secret documents about the trial of the Knights Templar, including a parchment — long ignored because of a vague catalog entry in 1628 — showing that Pope Clement V initially absolved the medieval order of heresy.
The 300-page volume recently came out in a limited edition — 799 copies — each priced at $8,377, said Scrinium publishing house, which prints documents from the Vatican's secret archives.
The order of knights, which ultimately disappeared because of the heresy scandal, recently captivated the imagination of readers of the best-seller "The Da Vinci Code," which linked the Templars to the story of the Holy Grail.
The Vatican work reproduces the entire documentation of the papal hearings convened after King Philip IV of France arrested and tortured Templar leaders in 1307 on charges of heresy and immorality.
Note: I'm into the Templar Stuff, this is a big deal.

Subject: Thomas Paine - Words to Think About
Greetings:
It is July 4th.which means it is time for my "Celebrate the Revolution"
email. Treat it as spam if you like.
For those of you new to the list, I have an annoying habit of selecting a figure from America's revolutionary past (or thereabouts) and forwarding some thoughts on the person and their writings. This year's selection is Thomas Paine.a figure perhaps immediately outside "Founding Father" lore, but his contribution to the creation and substance of the United States of America was crucial.

THE COMING WAR WITH ISLAM
Posted by neverquit on Thursday, March 15, 2007 (15:19:08) (237 reads)
The following is an Op-Ed piece from Front Page Magazine. FPM is a Conservative publication and has it's slant. However, I read this as one average man's personal account of what I feel to be the reality that will confront us and our children for decades to come.

Five years ago, I had a conversation with a young Palestinian student who in short precise terms explained how Islam will defeat the West. The conversation opened my eyes to a much larger picture in which Israel plays only a minor role in the Islamic game of conquest. Since then I tried to speak to some Arabs who come to pray at the Mosque, but they were not as outspoken as the student.
Last week, I had another conversation with an Israeli Arab construction boss by the unlikely name of Francis who was in charge of building a villa near our house in Herzelia. He told me that his family was Christian, and his name was given to him in honor of the Franciscan monks. Our conversation was as interesting as the first conversation I had with the Arab student five years ago and I would like to share it with you. Francis frequently parked his car near our house and we would exchange polite greetings.

RUSSIAN EXPERT SHOT IN FRONT OF HIS HOME... NEAR D.C.
Posted by Patriot on Sunday, March 04, 2007 (02:38:41) (224 reads)
WASHINGTON — An expert on Russian intelligence was critically injured in a shooting in front of his suburban Washington home, authorities said.
The shooting of Paul Joyal, 53, came days after he accused the Russian government of involvement in the poisoning of former KGB agent Alexander Litvinenko. The FBI was assisting in the investigation.
Joyal was shot Thursday by two men in his driveway, police said.

COLONEL OLLIE NORTH: DEMOCRATIC CONGRESS WASTING LIVES
Posted by Anonymous on Saturday, February 17, 2007 (10:21:08) (232 reads)
Spotsylvania, Va. — He was an American hero. On his second “tour of duty? in Iraq, he had already served in the Western Pacific and a prior combat tour in Afghanistan.
On Friday afternoon, 16 February, when Sgt. Joshua Frazier, USMC, was laid to rest in the soil of his native Virginia, his comrades in arms from the 1st Battalion, 6th Marines were fighting terrorists on the mean streets of Ramadi, in Iraq’s bloody Al Anbar Province. As Sgt. Frazier’s grieving mother was being presented with a carefully folded American flag, the Congress of the United States was debating a meaningless “non-binding resolution? attacking the commander in chief.
Heroes aren’t athletes who set new sports records or Hollywood actors who make “daring? films, or politicians who make bold promises. Heroes are people who place themselves at risk for the benefit of others. Joshua Frazier was certainly such a man. Unfortunately, there are far too few members of Congress who fit the definition.

SUNNI vs SHIA: DO YOU KNOW THE DIFFERENCE?
Posted by Patriot on Tuesday, February 13, 2007 (22:31:28) (392 reads)
Most people know that much of the 'discord' in the Middle East, Iraq in particular, is caused by some sort of rif between Shia and Sunni 'extremists'. Do you know the difference? Here is a short primer followed by a summary written by a devout Shia from Pakistan that may help you figure out who is who.
----
Ending a tense 4-month siege of the sacred city of Najaf, the U.S. military rolls toward Shiism's holiest shrine—the magnificent golden-domed Imam Ali Mosque—where the rebel Shiite cleric Muqtada Sadr and his black-clad "Army of the Mahdi" gather feverishly around the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad's son-in-law, Ali, convinced that the End of Days is at hand and ready to fight to the death both the American occupiers and the infidel Sunni establishment of Iraq.
Sometimes trying to understand the current crisis in Iraq can be like preparing for a vocabulary exam. Who is the Mahdi and why does he have an army? Why is Najaf so sacred? What is an imam? Are the differences between the Shiah and the Sunni so deeply rooted that they could ultimately destroy the stability of Iraq?

REMEMBER 9-11
"Contemplate the mangled bodies of your countrymen, and then say, 'What should be the reward of such sacrifices?' ... If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animating contest of freedom...crouch down and lick the hands, which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that ye were our countrymen!"
